Archlight

Characteristics:

Archlights are towering beacons on the battlefield and centers of support for their fellow combatants. Through intense genetic modification and physical enhancement, Archlights become beasts of men who can withstand intense situations that would seem impossible for even the most hardened veteran soldier. With their massive signature armor, incredibly immense shields and powerful lance rifles, they stand at the forefront of combat on every battlefield.

Background:

During the great expansion of the Huzien Empire, Lanrete needed a soldier who could serve as a center of support for soldiers on the battlefield but remain mobile enough to quickly adapt to different situations. The Archlight program was a coordinated effort between the Huzien Military, the Ministry of Science and eshLucient Corporation. Utilizing advanced forms of genetic engineering, skeletal reconstructive breakthroughs and advanced technologies, a soldier was created who had a reinforced skeletal frame made of nanocomposites, bio-organically enhanced organs, and the most sophisticated and durable personal armor ever conceived.

Favored Armor:

Archlight Armor - A highly customized armor set. Archlight armor employs numerous forms of advanced and highly classified technologies, including but not limited to sophisticated nanitic clusters that enhance various aspects of the wearer. Integrating with the wearer’s nervous system, the armor responds, at a basic level, to enhance movement of its massive frame. Due to its heavy nature, mini-gravimetric thrusters engage when quick movement is necessary on the battlefield.

Archlight Shield - A highly customized tower shield that is designed to be larger than an Archlight in full armor. It employs shield generators and contains a mobile power core that serves as an additional power source for the Archlight armor. It also employs mini-gravimetric thrusters that engage during quick shield movements.

Favored Weapon:

Archlight Lance - A custom-made lance featuring an integrated electric-shock rifle. Utilizing advanced nanotechnology, the lance itself is highly durable and capable of puncturing various alloys. The shock rifle feature has a moderate distance, most deadly at close range, and employs a high-powered electrical blast.


Argent

Characteristics:

Argents are masters of the Cihphistic arts who spend intense training learning the secrets of the Enesmic Plane. Argent Initiates are inducted into the order of the Argents only after undergoing extensive trials. The Argent title carries with it not just power but a strict code upheld by the order. Argents can be seen wearing the traditional vestments of the order, wielding unnatural orbs of immense power. Involved in all facets of galactic affairs, Argents serve in positions ranging from diplomats to strike team members and are a force to be reckoned with.

Background:

Argents existed before the formation of Etan Rachnie. Created by Soahc, Argents were his right hand, the instrument of his will and defenders of his empire. When he left the empire he had established, the order fell apart with no one to lead them. Many millennia later when Soahc founded Etan Rachnie, the immortal rebuilt the order and established Etan Rachnie as its home. Establishing the Argent Council, Soahc ensured that, if he ever were to depart again, the order would continue in his absence. As such, the order has remained independent of Soahc, and is commanded by both the First Argent and the Argent General.

Favored Armor:

Argent Vestments of Power - Specially crafted garments infused with Enesmic energy.

Favored Weapon:

Argent Weshan - An orb of raw Enesmic energy bound together by the life force of the wielder. Existing on both the Enesmic Plane and the natural plane (the Havin Plane), the orb can be summoned and dismissed at the wielder’s whim. The orb works as a focus for the wielder and can also be used offensively to physically attack a target. More experienced Cihphists past a certain Sensitivity Level gain no additional benefit from these.

Ranks:

Argent Initiate

Given to all new Argent recruits.

Argent Acolyte

Given after passing Argent Trials, apprenticed to a Knight or Shaper.

Argent Seeker

Bestowed to Acolytes who show great promise by the Shaper they are apprenticed to. Leave apprenticeship and are allowed to venture out on their own.

Argent Knight

Given after being approved by a Shaper of school mastery or advanced ability.

Argent Shaper

Argent Knights that have proven themselves to be masters of Cihphistic power and who embody the principles of the Argent are bestowed this title by the Argent Council.

Argent General

Nominated by the Argent Council and approved by the Supreme General. Alternatively they can be nominated by the Supreme General and approved by the Argent Council. Required to have served in Huzien Military but not required to have been an Argent.

Argent Counselor

Argent Shapers who are chosen by existing council members to serve on the council. Responsible for the administration of the Argent program. Handle Argent progression and strike team formation/assignments.

First Argent

Keeper of the Argents responsible for its day-to-day operations, appointed by Etan Rachnie Council.


Cidelif

Characteristics:

Cidelifs are combat doctors; they exist on the battlefield, offering support both through frontline triage and amplifier-enhanced Cihphist ability. Utilizing various medical techniques, Cidelifs can quickly stabilize dying soldiers and get them back to the frontlines. Unlike traditional medics, Cidelifs are fully qualified doctors who enter the battlefield to offer frontline support.

Background:

During the expansion wars—a period of history, during which the Huzien Empire rapidly expanded its borders and conquered neighboring systems—frontline combat became intense as civilizations struggled to remain independent from the Huzien Empire. It became necessary for doctors to enter the battlefield in some capacity, as evacuations in hostile territory became very difficult. The challenge was to equip doctors with the skills they needed to survive on the battlefield, and so a training program was built to create a combat doctor which gave birth to the Cidelif. In an effort to keep their hands free and to not burden them down with weapons, a kinetic-field amplifier was designed which allowed for, in some instances, latent Cihphist ability to manifest as if the Cidelif were a full-fledged Cihphist. Although limited to the school of Kineticism, it allows for Cidelifs to be effective in combat while also being effective doctors when required.

Favored Armor:

Cidelif Armor - A highly customized medium nanitic armor fitted to the wearer. It employs various types of common technologies found in other combat armors and is designed for taking direct fire for short duration.

Favored Weapon:

Kinetic-Field Amplifier - An advanced form of technology embedded into the Cidelif armor that enhances latent Cihphist ability around the school of Kineticism.


Cihphist

Characteristics:

Cihphists are wielders of intense power, ranging from Telepathy and Telekinesis to Kineticism and Metaphysicism. In some cases Cihphists are able to manipulate Enesmic energy to not only enhance their own native abilities but shape the world around them. Through intense study and training, Cihphists become masters of various schools of focus with the most elite mastering all.

Background:

Cihphists have existed for millennia. The destruction of entire civilizations can sometimes be marked by the clashing of Cihphist masters vying for power. Some say that the first Cihphist came into our plane of existence from the Enesmic Plane, and that with him he brought the destructive forces native to the Enesmic Plane itself. The Enesmic Plane is home to some of the most terrifying and powerful creatures in existence, and some say that it is the home of the Creator of the universe. In today’s day and age, with the advancement of technology, Cihphists have adapted and in some cases utilized technology to further enhance their abilities. Cihphists are a critical part of every empire and nation in the galaxy today.

Favored Armor:

Nanitic-Synth Fiber Vestments - Synthetic materials are woven together within a layer of nanites that continuously repair, clean and strengthen the clothing.

Favored Weapon:

Tritonic Focus Shield Band - A small high-tech wristband that acts as a focus for Cihphists. It also employs a small shield generator that can lessen the impact of projectiles.

Combat Cihphist

Characteristics:

Combat Cihphists are the most recognizable on the battlefield, with unique military uniforms that signify their status and rank. Combat Cihphists employ a technique that allows for their Huzien blade to hover in midair and act independently of their actions. Through intense physical, mental and Cihphist training, Combat Cihphists are the epitome of the Huzien Military with exceptional individuals becoming Elites, who are in essence walking forces of destruction.

Background:

The Combat Cihphist came to be after the formation of the Huzien Empire under the Founders Lanrete, Ecnics and Cislot. As Lanrete’s brainchild, the Combat Cihphist employed Cihphists in roles never before utilized. With a focus on frontline combat—whereas with traditional Cihphist roles, they were located within the backlines as support—the Combat Cihphist quickly became essential to obtaining victory throughout various military campaigns. More exceptional Combat Cihphists become classified as Elites, who each command devastating power and are given the freedom to act independently of their battlegroup to do whatever necessary to obtain victory.

Favored Armor:

Combat Cihphist Regalia - Special light armor designed by the Ministry of Science that employs various high-tech functionalities to protect and enhance the wearer. It has special color-coded collars that signifies the Combat Cihphist’s rank. Elites wear a similar construct of armor that utilizes a different design to distinguish them on the battlefield.

Favored Weapon:

Iltarum Blade - Similar to the Nenifin Blade, but employs a number of classified technologies and enhancements, specializing its use on an open battlefield.


Losrim

Characteristics:

Losrim are combat specialists. They excel with all forms of mobile combat weaponry and are the core of the Huzien Military. Losrim appear decked out in the standard-issue military uniforms of the Huzien Empire. They adhere to a strict code of honor and employ methodical precision with years of intense training which morphs them into efficient killing machines.

Background:

Losrim have existed since recorded Huzien history. While their means of conducting combat has changed over the years with the evolution of combat itself, they have been instrumental in every conflict throughout Huzien history. Losrim employ the standard weaponry of the era and are currently trained in the use of military assault rifles and other modern-day mobile combat weaponry. As the core of the Huzien Military since the beginning, Losrim enter a form of precombat training that lasts for a year. Throughout this year, a normal civilian is converted into a deadly killing machine in service to the Empire. Losrim adhere to a strict rank system that establishes a chain of command. Losrim can migrate into any branch of the military early on but stay in a specific branch after they have progressed in rank. This is due in part to focused areas, such as mobile infantry or the Imperial Fleet requiring drastically different training regimens.

Redalam

Characteristics:

Redalams are masters of the Huzien blade. They train extensively, learning the many different forms and techniques necessary to be labeled as a Redalam. Redalams can be identified by their signature blades, uniquely customized to each individual and family, strapped to their hips. All Redalam blades are named by their wielder.

Background:

Redalams have existed since the days of early Huzien history. Usually employed by powerful guilds and city states, Redalams hold positions of high power and influence. Throughout the millennia Redalams have changed with the times. While still staying true to the Huzien blade, their techniques have adapted to the latest technological trends. In today’s day and age, the majority of Huzien blades are made of high-tech materials and employ advanced functionality, such as retractable blades and shield generators.

Favored Armor:

Techlight Nanic - Extremely light armor that is strong enough to withstand multiple point-blank shots. Employs regenerative nanites that clean, rebuild and strengthen the armor. Is powered by body heat and kinetic energy generated by the wearer.

Favored Weapon:

Nenifin Blade - A modified Huzien plexicarbonite weapon that employs a retractable blade. Once drawn, the blade instantly extends to its full length. Powered by a combination of kinetic and solar energy, the blade features an internal nanite system that strengthens, repairs and continually sharpens the blade.


Secnic

Characteristics:

Secnics are technology masters. They are seen wielding a variety of experimental and advanced technologies in ways never before seen. From experimental gravity control harnesses, where the Secnic can manipulate the gravity around them, to sophisticated power armors that the Secnic wields as either a second skin or a massive frame. The one thing that remains consistent with Secnics is their natural affinity to weaponized technologies of an advanced and/or experimental nature.

Background:

Secnics were a creation of the Ministry of Science. The Huzien Empire was faced with the problem of having a breadth of sophisticated weaponized technologies that were too much for the average soldier to utilize. In some cases they required an advanced understanding of scientific principles and had a heavy reliance on field repairs and adaptations with limited resources. This made the need for a type of combat scientist necessary in order for the military to continue to adopt new and advanced forms of weapons. A training program was developed by the MinSci that taught combat principles to scientists and transitioned them into combat roles. Thus the Secnic was born.

Favored Armor:

Varies depending on type of Secnic.

Power Armor - An outer shell that the Secnic enters that integrates with the wearer’s nervous system. It contains gravimetric thrusters that allow the wearer short sustained flight. It has extensive and advanced nanite stores that can be utilized beyond the power armor and on other objects and equipment. Power armor models vary, but generally contain various weapon systems.

Power Frame - A massive construct similar in terms of function to the power armor but capable of sustained air and space flight. Most power frames utilize similar armor plating and shielding on par with fighters. Power frames differ in complexity and function and can sustain a user for extended periods of time in space.

Techlight Nanic - Extremely light armor that is strong enough to withstand multiple point-blank shots. Employs regenerative nanites that clean, rebuild and strengthen the armor. Is powered by body heat and kinetic energy generated by the wearer.

Favored Weapon:

Varies depending on type of Secnic.

Power Armor - Power armor employs advanced weapon technologies that vary depending on type of power armor. The most common weapons include wrist-mounted shock blasters, shoulder canons of various types and enhanced physical strength.

Power Frame - Power frames contain weapon systems similar to some power armors but usually on a much larger scale. They can, in some cases, go toe-to-toe with fighter ships and drones.

Gravity Control Harness (GCH) - The harness encompasses the wielder and is utilized by focus points connected to each hand. Through field and gravity manipulation, the control harness can send blasts of condensed gravity, lift very large objects and utilize them as projectiles, and increase the field of gravity on specific locations to levels much higher than normal.


Sentinel

Characteristics:

Sentinels are the silent hands of the Huzien Empire. They live in the shadows and exist everywhere from the most battle-worn battlefield to the capitals of rival nations. Through intense training, honing both the mind and body while utilizing the most advanced technology in the Twin Galaxies, Sentinels strike fear into enemies of the empire. A good Sentinel will never be noticed. With their staple personal cloaking technology, astonishing Cihphist ability and specially designed silent sniper rifles, they are the model Assassins.

Background:

The Sentinel branch of the military was established as a joint effort between Lanrete and Ecnics 15,000 years ago. Seeking a way to move undetected throughout the galaxy, while keeping a careful eye on all potential and current threats, the Sentinel was created as an infiltration unit. The first Sentinels performed reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering missions, with the role eventually taking on the responsibility of assassinating threats to the empire. Never wanting to bring blame back onto the Huzien Empire, the assassinations always took on the form of accidents or infighting with the acts later becoming bolder during wartime situations. The modern-day Sentinel is enhanced cybernetically with various implants increasing Cihphist ability and stealth capability. Each Sentinel is assigned a small one-person ship that utilizes a myriad number of advanced and experimental technologies to help them perform their responsibilities.

Favored Armor:

Sentinel Armor - Specially designed nanite-infused light armor capable of rendering the user unseen, not just to most sensor technologies but also to the naked eye. Like most advanced armors, this armor repairs itself and is powered by body heat and kinetic energy while also having extensive battery reserves for times of deep covert operations in intense conditions.

Favored Weapon:

Archinam Grade Military Sniper Rifle - A heavily modified and custom sniper rifle infused with nanotechnology and made to match the cloaking capabilities of Sentinel armor. Linked to the Sentinel armor, the rifle feeds data into the microdisplay of the wielder as opposed to a traditional readout screen.


Wopan

Characteristics:

Wopans are martial-artist gun masters. On the battlefield they display a mastery of gun arts utilizing their token machine-gun pistols in brilliant displays of acrobatics and hand-to-hand combat. Through intense training, Wopans develop deadly skills in close-quarters combat. You will rarely find Wopans alone; they usually work alongside other units to deal with forces that could potentially overwhelm them.

Background:

Wopans existed before the Great Division War in which the Huziens exiled the Tuzens from Thae. Wopans are masters of the gun arts, which is a technique of martial arts and gun utilization developed by an elite branch of the Tuzen Military. The art was taken with the Tuzens when they were exiled and become lost to the Huziens for many millennia. In today’s age, the primary location of Wopan training centers exist on New Thae, but they have also expanded across the Huzien Alliance with locations now on New Ginea and Peshkana. This has led to a large number of Uris entering the line of Wopan masters. While Wopans are not officially utilized in the Huzien Military, the Tuzen Military utilizes them extensively.

Favored Armor:

Wopan Battle Garbs - A uniquely customized and very distinguishable form of armor given to each Wopan master upon attainment of their rank. It employs multiple layers of nanitic fiber that have been reinforced to withstand direct gunfire. While classified as a medium armor, they employ a number of technologies typically seen in heavy armors for damage mitigation and repair.

Favored Weapon:

Wopan Master Arms - A twin set of modified machine-gun pistols that employ genetic recognition technology to prevent other individuals from using the weapons. They also contain hidden blades that can be utilized in the event of hand-to-hand combat.
