A new world (of NFTs)

Over this past month, I’ve been dabbing in the (not so new) world of NFTs. They have recently gained popularity in the mainstream with some large price tag sales from notable creators. I started the experiment with taking some old short stories that I created many years ago and finding ways to incorporate those into digital graphics. The results are the Ascension art piece which I’ve branded as an Art Story.

I regularly play around in photoshop (although not as much as I used to back in college) so I was quickly able to experiment with a few techniques to create the inspiring piece above (also an inspiring story if you’ve never read the short story itself. After I started learning more about what was popular in terms of NFTs, I realized that I needed to dust off my animation skills. This led to the creation of my next Art Story, Resistance, based off of the short story of the same name.

After this, I started experimenting with ways to utilize ML tools to bring static images to life, such as the characters from Foundra. This lead to some pretty cool stuff that surprised me.
